River Connections: Event Registration
- This three-day workshop will bring together people from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds - including academia, industry, government, nonprofits, and communities - to share and discuss ideas from research to practice to partnership.
- All participants are encouraged to join for any or all days of the workshop.
- Registration is FREE, breakfast and lunch are included.
- Hotel: We recommend The Hampton Inn New Orleans - St. Charles Avenue/Garden District, which is a short streetcar ride from Tulane campus.
- On and off campus parking is available.

Tuesday, May 19 Day 1: Research and Collaboration
Participants from across the Mississippi River watershed will share the latest research from the basin. Through interdisciplinary presentations and discussion, this day will spark opportunities for collaboration and on-the-ground action across the full watershed.
Wednesday, May 20 Day 2: Applied Knowledge and Critical Questions
Participants will collaborate to identify applied knowledge needs and consider critical questions facing the watershed. Participants will explore how scientific work can inform decision-making and on-the-ground action to improve outcomes across five key issues for the watershed.
Thursday, May 21 Day 3: Partnership Action & Leadership
Advance the Mississippi River Watershed Partnership by shaping action roadmaps and collaborative strategies to strengthen leadership across the watershed. Following the rollout of the partnership structure, participants will have the opportunity to join MRWP committees and take an active role in driving action.
