Faisal Mallum

Faisal Mallum is a Research Associate at the University of New Orleans Transportation Institute and serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Planning and Urban Studies. His research focuses on the intersection of international trade, multimodal transportation, economic development, and resilience, specifically how policies and infrastructure influence freight efficiency and regional competitiveness. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of New Orleans and holds dual master’s degrees in Economic Development as well as Logistics, Trade, and Transportation from the University of Southern Mississippi. Additionally, he earned a B.S. in Economics from the University of Maiduguri.
