An Overview of the Newly implemented forecast system of Southern Louisiana and the Gulf of Mexico

This presentation introduces an operational forecast model for the Lower Mississippi River and the north-central region of the Gulf of Mexico. This first phase of the effort focuses on hydrodynamics. The system will be expanded to include salinity, temperature, sediment, and select water quality and ecological indices.
